I took the put people in there race quiz. I got a 7 out of 20 but I didn't enjoy the quiz. I thought the pictures of the people were small and had a bad quality. If the pictures were larger and more clear than it would have been essayer. It also said white and black were races which isnt true I dont think. And thats about it for me. Hmmm. What makes you think you would have done better on this quiz if the pictures were better? This suggests you that feel it is possible to accurately categorize people based on their appearance. Do you think this is the case?

ReplyDeletei just meant that sometimes you can tell what race people are by there skin color. i know thats not acurate for evry case i just ment sometimes. i think on the quiz it wouldnt of helped because the people are so mixed.
ReplyDeletebut i do hope you get that the point of the quiz was not just to show you that sorting by appearance can't be done -- but to have you think past that to the idea that the reason it can't be done by appearances is that it's not based on genetic traits, it's not scientific, it's finally only "definite" when people define themselves, not when we define them, and it should raise major questions about other traits (other than appearance) that people may tend to associate with a certain category of people. Generally, it's just not useful to think of people as members of categories.
